Martinez x World of Concrete Show, Las Vegas 2025
Scott and myself, were invited by Martinez Tools to attend the World of Concrete show in Vegas late Jan.
Initially, we flew into Chicago so we could travel to Milwaukee, WI to meet Team Martinez. Chris, General Manager, drove us to Hultafors Group North America. We really appreciated him taking us there and it was a great chance for us to get to know Chris better on the drive.
We saw where all the TF Tools orders are assembled & met the team who work so hard on getting our orders together.
Chuck, Operations Manager leads the team; Kim and Yvonne, Hector, Diane and Francis. Hector helped us assemble some hammers using hammer assembly machines. We have only ever built Martinez hammers with a mallet so this was fun.
We assembled no less than 5 Martinez hammers to giveaway! More details on that coming soon.
Fri afternoon Chris drove us back to Chicago, Connor from DiamondBack, flew in for us to have dinner together. We went to a Brazilian restaurant, with the card system for unlimited meat, that was fun and we all over ate! Great to see Connor over a drink or 5 😂 Saturday morning we were all a bit fragile.
Scott and I then met Ken, General Manager for WoodOwl/Star-M USA for lunch with his wife, Shino. We went to an amazing little Japanese BBQ restaurant where we cooked meat on a fire which was literally set into the table. Ken was our first supplier at TF Tools back in 2016 and we have a good friendship so it was great to see him again.
Sunday we flew into Vegas, had a day free to explore on Monday. It was Martin Luther King Day so we watched a parade downtown which had over 95 floats with music, dancing, lots of amazing celebrations. We felt lucky to be able to see that while in USA. Monday night we had a dinner with Team Martinez; Chris, Chuck, Jana, Jim, Tina, Mike & Matthew and made a game plan for the trade show the next morning.
Tues to Thursday was a whirlwind of all things Martinez. As a team we all worked hard on the booth/stand set up, assembling hammers, explaining the range to the customers, assisting the demo area to try out a Martinez. We ran 2 hammer giveaways each day, met so many people from the Insta community we haven't see for a year or so.
