Overview

TrigJig was founded by a former tradesperson Dan, driven by the frustration of using tools that just weren’t "quite right” - and the range now includes tools for every conceivable marking and measuring need.

We love this brand because it bridges the gap between site-tough durability and workshop-level precision. Every tool is designed and produced in the UK using the latest CAD software and state-of-the-art CNC milling. Not only do these tools look beautiful with their signature anodised finishes, but they are also exceptionally well-made, ensuring they remain a staple in your tool kit for years to come.

“TrigJig make delightful tools, this is no exception.” Richard S, TrigJig | Micro Trim Square MTS 100 MKII

The Core Range

TrigJig’s catalogue covers all your marking and measuring needs, from complex roofing to fine cabinetry.

Angle Finders

The AF series is perhaps what put TrigJig on the map. This range features a "Triple Display" system that gives you the protractor angle, mitre cut, and single cut angles simultaneously. They eliminate the "measure twice, cut twice" headache for s skirting, fitted joinery and complex roofing.

"I should have bought one of these a while ago. They’ve made trimming up angled bay window shutters a doddle. Really happy with it. Thanks TF !" Gareth F TrigJig | Angle Finder AF9 MKII

MTS (Micro Trim Square) Range

The MTS series is the ultimate pocket-sized powerhouse. Designed specifically for second fix and finish carpentry, the MTS100 micro squares fit perfectly in any tool pouch pocket. They feature a unique 45-degree chamfer near the pivot point, allowing them to sit flush even in corners with weld build-up or internal radii. With laser-etched scribe notches every 1mm, they are as precise as their larger siblings but far more portable.

"Amazing little square! The cut out holes for marking and getting your angles are perfection. Trig jig done great job on this square!" Luke M TrigJig | Micro Trim Square MTS 100 MKII

Rafter Squares

The RSA range is milled from high-quality aluminium. Unlike cheaper stamped versions, these are CNC machined for absolute flatness and squareness. They come in both fixed and adjustable versions, with the latter featuring a rock-solid secure locking fence for repetitive roof cuts.

"Anyone who uses an adjustable roofing square needs one of these. Great little square with everything you need." Lee S, TrigJig | RSA180 Adjustable Rafter Square V2

Combination Square

TrigJig has re-engineered the classic combination square. Their Glyder series replaces the traditional, often finicky pull-hook design for locking the ruler, with a robust bearing system. This allows the blade to slide smoothly and lock with zero "slop," providing a level of reliability that traditional squares simply can’t match.

Sliding Bevel

TrigJig has taken the traditional sliding bevel and added lots of useful features.  As well as offering 2 different sizes, the traditional 200mm blade and the much more substantial 350mm blade, they have also packed a load of extra features into the stock, such as 2 levelling vials and an angle scale for the blade. Combine this with a solid cam lever to lock the blade in place, and you’ve got a choice of tools that are perfect for scribing any angles, from roofing to bespoke cabinetry.

TrigJig Top Picks

If you are looking to add a product from TrigJig to your kit, these are the standout tools that every TF Tools customer should consider:

Angle Finder AF6 MKII: The gold standard for internal and external angle measurement. It’s compact enough for tight corners but large enough for professional trim work.

“Beautifully engineered piece of kit. Never quite trusted the digital angle finders but this offers the same accuracy in good old analogue.” Leo N

BB200 Sliding Bevel: A masterclass in tool design. It features a unique locking mechanism that won't move once set, and the recessed markings ensure you can read your angles even after years of heavy site use.

“Very well made and built like a brick house, the blade is very thick so you can use your skillsaw with it ! So bye bye to usual flimsy bevels, a must buy” Mark G

PSQ120 Pocket Square: Small, versatile, and incredibly accurate. It’s the perfect "always-on-you" tool for checking small joints, marking out hardware, or quick 90-degree references.

FAQs

Q: How accurate is a TrigJig?

Exceptionally. Most TrigJig squares and finders are CNC machined to a tolerance of within 0.01° over their entire length. This is significantly more accurate than standard mass-produced tools.

Q: TrigJig vs other square brands (Martinez, Squijig, Hultafors) – What’s the difference?

While we stock a range of brands at TF Tools and there is some cross-over of product types, the main difference lies in how you use them:

  • TrigJig is a range of standalone precision tools. When you buy a TrigJig RSA180 or an Angle Finder, you are buying a complete, CNC-machined instrument that is ready to use out of the box for high-accuracy measurements.
  • They are designed & manufactured in the UK by the Founder of Trigjig.

The Verdict: If you want the most accurate, British-engineered standalone square or angle finder, go with TrigJig.
