As many of you know we have been supporting the construction industry's effort at raising the awareness of mental health since we began as a company.

Without doubt, there is a lot going on right now and the normal pressures of life are starting to catch up with us. From mounting pressures at work, to financial worries and concerns around our health, if we don’t give ourselves time to stop and think, sooner or later it’s likely to come crashing down on us. So, in August we’re urging everyone to make an extra effort to ‘take a break’ and help you get a healthier physical and emotional balance back. It’s natural for us to want to give and support others, but we must also think about our own needs and boundaries, and protect our own energy too. Remember, if you don’t look after yourself, you will not be able to continue to look after others. |
The Lighthouse Club have put together an amazing guide with some ideas of things you can do to unwind.
It’s important to take a break, give yourself space and check in on your mental health. Go for a walk, picnic with your family or listen to some music - take the weight off your shoulders and lay your challenges out to see. This enables us to face them head on and take charge of the things we can control.
